As a Security Officer Healthcare Patrol in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to meet hospital vaccination requirements is required.
• Ability to work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue is required.
• Ability to restrain individuals is required in accordance with site procedures and applicable law.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assisting with access control practices and directing visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors in accordance with site policies.
• Support healthcare operations by helping with de-escalation of tense situations, providing directions and information, and coordinating with staff during security-related events and/or urgent situations.
