About The Position

As a Security Officer Guest Services Desk in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a government location, where you will welcome visitors, monitor entry activity, support access procedures, and provide professional communication at a stationary post. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor visitor access, verify identification and credentials, issue passes when required, and document arrivals, departures, and front desk activity.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Answer phones, assist guests, employees, and members of the public, and direct individuals to the appropriate office, department, and/or meeting location.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation related to front desk operations, incidents, and unusual activity.
