As a Security Officer Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, deliveries, and/or service appointments in support of community entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Document daily activities, access records, and incident information in a clear and timely manner, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns observed during the shift.
