As a Security Officer Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, deliveries, and/or service appointments in support of community entry procedures.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Document daily activities, access records, and incident information in a clear and timely manner, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or property concerns observed during the shift.
