About The Position

As a Security Officer Gated Community in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying visitor access, and maintaining accurate access records. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with residents and guests, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the residential community by verifying authorization for residents, guests, deliveries, and service personnel in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community entry points, common areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and potential security-related concerns.
