As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening people and items, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, use technology to support daily operations, and remain visible to help deter incidents. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and property entering or leaving the facility in accordance with established procedures; verify credentials and maintain accurate access records.
Monitor screening equipment and access points, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and report unusual activity or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, facility entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
