As a Screener at a government health and family services location, you will welcome visitors, screen access, monitor entry points, and report security-related concerns while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government health and family services location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Screen visitors, verify identification and appointment information as applicable, direct individuals to appropriate service areas, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, report suspicious activity or policy concerns, and help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel of concerns.
