As a Security Officer Full Time Mobile Response Driver in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, pedestrian access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with transit personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
