Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel, documenting events, and following post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, observe restricted areas, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
• Support order at the location by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed, and completing required reports, logs, and other post documentation.
