Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and controlled access points, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited activity, and policy violations.
• Support order at the location by following post orders, interacting professionally with occupants and officials, and assisting with investigations, escorts, and/or incident follow-up as directed.
