About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Officer in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor and vehicle screening processes in accordance with site protocols.
Support medical facility operations by assisting with de-escalation, escort requests, and/or security-related responses involving patients, staff, visitors, and high-traffic public areas.
