Requirements

• Have 3 or more years of Military Police or Corrections Officer or Armed Security experience, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public sector personnel, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials where required and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions.
• Support transportation-related operations by remaining prepared to respond to alarms, service disruptions, medical calls, and/or other security-related events in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
