About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of experience as Military Police, a Corrections Officer, or Armed Security, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit-related facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unusual conditions in accordance with post orders and local procedures.
• Support daily operations by remaining prepared to respond to alarms, requests for assistance, and public interactions while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
