Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Act 235 qualification is required in Pennsylvania only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local authorities and site contacts as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining readiness and following all applicable laws, policies, and training guidance.
- Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report security-related concerns, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
