As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or individuals at a government corrections location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observations.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Maintain professional communication with facility personnel and law enforcement or emergency responders, and complete accurate daily activity reports.
