Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor requirements in accordance with site policies.
  • Maintain required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
