Job Description As a Security Officer - Routine Patrol in Columbus, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to requests with strong communication, and document observations while supporting site procedures. Requirements
- CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access control points for employees, contractors and deliveries, including checking identification and/or authorization and directing traffic to the appropriate locations.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices and the exterior perimeter, noting hazards, unsecured doors and/or unusual conditions and reporting findings.
- Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, operate CCTV and/or alarm monitoring systems when assigned and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership.
