As a Security Officer Communications Watch in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate incident response, manage communications, and help to keep operations running smoothly through strong teamwork, reliability, and integrity. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor communication systems, receive and document calls for service, and dispatch security-related personnel to routine incidents, urgent situations, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident records, and dispatch reports, sharing timely updates with site contacts, supervisors, and/or responding personnel as needed.
  • Observe cameras, alarms, and other monitoring systems to help identify unusual activity, support timely response efforts, and communicate relevant information according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting conditions that may require follow-up and reporting concerns through established channels.
