As a Security Officer Patrol Compliance Associate in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff movement, and/or report maintenance, policy, or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support museum operations during opening, closing, special events, and/or high-traffic periods by following post orders and communicating professionally with guests, staff, and first responders.
