As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, report concerns promptly, and support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures and post orders at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access points by monitoring doors, gates, and restricted areas, verifying authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate locations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site management when required.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and/or supervisors.
