Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain hospital-required vaccinations.
  • Must be able to work in hospital areas that include the morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directional support, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or observations according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by remaining visible, interacting respectfully with the public, and following post orders and healthcare location protocols during routine and emergency situations.
