As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare industries. This is a Part-Time Security Officer role where you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and vendor activity in support of site protocols, offering directions and assistance when needed.
  • Assist with de-escalation support, requested escorts, and other security-related duties as assigned based on the needs of the location.
