Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and client-facing guidelines, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting appropriate follow-up on security-related matters.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining professional interactions with staff, guests, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for operational issues, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
