Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry activity, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine observations, and help to deter security-related incidents while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and security-related policies for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with post orders and client-directed protocols, and report irregularities to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document screening-related activities, observations, and/or policy violations as required.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or operational areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, screening checkpoints, and the perimeter, with work conditions that may vary throughout the location.
