Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related operations through visible presence and strong communication. You will conduct routine patrols, assist visitors and staff, and help to deter incidents while delivering customer service with integrity, teamwork, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Must be able to accommodate last minute shift scheduling.
  • Must be able to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with restricted area access issues, alarms, and/or site protocol questions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and key access points to help identify security-related concerns and policy violations.
  • Support gatehouse and/or lobby operations by screening visitors, coordinating deliveries and contractor arrivals, and documenting security-related events in accordance with post procedures.
