As a Security Officer Driver Entry Screening in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, perform routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and credentialing points to help manage authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around production, storage, shipping, and perimeter areas, noting hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues for follow-up.
  • Complete logs and incident reports related to access activity, deliveries, inspections, and observed conditions while following Allied Universal standards and site instructions.
