Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will help manage access points, greet residents and guests, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for the residential location by verifying credentials, guest permissions, deliveries, and/or visitor information in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, residents, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, property concerns, and/or security-related issues.
  • Document daily activity, access control events, and incident information in required logs and reports, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
