Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for the residential location by verifying credentials, guest permissions, deliveries, and/or visitor information in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, residents, and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity, property concerns, and/or security-related issues.
- Document daily activity, access control events, and incident information in required logs and reports, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
