About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Jackson, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, badging requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain required logs and reports related to security-related activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Support security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical location by following established post orders, traffic control procedures, and restricted-area protocols.
