As a Security Officer Entry Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. In this role, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, log visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, equipment concerns, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
  • Support vehicle and pedestrian screening processes, follow key control and access authorization protocols, and report security-related issues according to site procedures.
