About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, assist visitors and team members, and support security-related operations with professionalism and clear communication. In this role, you will help to deter incidents through a visible presence while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and directing arrivals at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, review visitor and vehicle activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, loading zones, docks, and/or gate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
  • Support site operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing required reports, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal personnel, site contacts, and/or local responders when appropriate.
