As a Security Officer Entry Control in St. Charles, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with a caring, reliable approach, deliver great customer service, and work as part of a team that values agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for the facility, verify authorized access for personnel and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized activity involving docks, gates, trailers, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate logs of visitor activity, inbound and outbound traffic, package and shipment movement, and other access-related records in accordance with post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to gates, loading areas, parking lots, and other key operational spaces where working environments and conditions may vary by location.
