Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, issue visitor passes as needed, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of gates, restricted areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Support vehicle and delivery access procedures by checking documentation, directing traffic flow, and maintaining accurate logs of personnel, vendors, and transported materials.
