As a Security Officer Entry Control in Laredo, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a secure and welcoming environment. In this role, you will remain visible, assist with security-related concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, processing visitors, vendors, and/or drivers, and documenting entry and exit activity according to site protocols.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic, reviewing deliveries and/or shipments, and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with alarms, disturbances, and/or access-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation related to gate activity, visitor management, and/or daily security-related operations.
