About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entrance Screening in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. In this role, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. You will also deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and contribute to a caring, reliable team culture built on integrity and innovation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain access logs to help support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support reception and badging functions as assigned, assist with directing foot traffic and/or deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and attentive observation.
