About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Entrance Screening in Kankakee, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related activities according to site protocol.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, with working conditions that may vary throughout the location.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, reporting maintenance or access concerns, and following post orders related to manufacturing and industrial environments.
