About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Service Patrol in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role provides a consistent assigned-site shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and weekly anchor shift. The officer may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, potentially building up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The listed shift is Saturday, 4:15 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

The position provides customer service and performs security-related procedures and unarmed patrols at a retail location. Officers respond to incidents and concerns, monitor for unusual activity and potential loss-prevention issues, assist with access control, observe deliveries and vendors, and document patrols and incidents. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, using problem-solving skills.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential loss-prevention concerns, and report observations to appropriate store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, observe delivery and vendor activity, and maintain accurate incident and patrol documentation.
