About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer EMT Certified in Lewisport, Kentucky, for a manufacturing and industrial location. The role focuses on access control and maintaining a welcoming, secure environment. The officer monitors entry points, verifies credentials, manages visitor access, remains visible to help deter incidents, communicates professionally with employees and guests, and responds to security-related concerns. EMT certification is required. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

Possess an EMT certification.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control access for deliveries, contractors, and vehicles according to established manufacturing-facility procedures.
Respond calmly to access-related incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through appropriate site channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help identify unauthorized activity or access concerns.
