Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support residents with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity while supporting access control procedures and documenting security-related incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with de-escalating resident and guest issues, provide directions and information, and communicate professionally with property management and/or first responders as needed.
