Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support access awareness throughout the property. This is a driving post, so you may operate a vehicle as part of your duties. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols, helping to support authorized entry and documenting security-related concerns.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and assist with security-related requests in a professional manner.
