As a Security Officer Unarmed Driving Role in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading financial institution location as an unarmed, driving patrol officer. In this role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting conditions that could impact daily operations.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting concerns in accordance with post instructions.
