About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Patrol Specialist in Montgomery Village, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a bustling retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related activities throughout the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity across the location, documenting incidents and completing required reports related to security-related concerns.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including providing directions, assisting with crowd management, and relaying information during incidents.
