As a Security Officer - Driver in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control professional in a driving post. You will help monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, perform routine patrols, and support security-related operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other access-related activity in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, access irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other conditions that may require security-related attention.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence, following screening procedures for people and/or vehicles, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior.
