As a Security Officer Driver for Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a driving Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout shopping areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, observe unusual behavior, and support a professional environment for customers and store personnel.
• Assist with alarm responses, lost and found inquiries, customer assistance, and/or other routine service requests while maintaining awareness of site policies and post orders.
