Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, credentials, and visitor authorization, while documenting entries, exits, deliveries, and other access-related activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations by observing activity at entry and exit locations, screening persons and/or property as directed, and reporting unusual behavior or conditions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
