About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Identity Screening in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a government location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support orderly access for staff, visitors, and authorized personnel. Requirements

  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, process visitors, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including support during emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and perimeter locations to help identify security-related concerns and report conditions that need attention.
  • Maintain accurate logs, access records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency services as needed.
