Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening employees, visitors, and/or contractors, and controlling access to designated areas within a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, document visitor activity, and report unusual or unauthorized access attempts to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and established emergency response protocols.
  • Support intake and movement control procedures by directing arrivals, maintaining orderly access at assigned posts, and communicating clearly with staff and members of the public.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
