Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public officials as needed.
  • Document visitor activity, entry and exit information, and unusual events, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting conditions and reporting issues that may require attention.
