About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Dispatch in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. At a leading financial institution location, as a Dispatch professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor alarms and communications, coordinate responses to security-related activity, and support personnel across the site. This is a driving post. You will help to maintain a strong visible presence through clear communication, quick decision-making, and teamwork, while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency communication activities within a financial institution location.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, phones, radios, and other communication systems to receive, prioritize, and relay security-related information to on-site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and helping to coordinate timely dispatch of support to the appropriate location.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, and help to deter disruptions by tracking activity, reporting unusual conditions, and communicating updates to relevant personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
