Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and their belongings using approved screening equipment and procedures, identifying prohibited items and escalating concerns in accordance with established protocols.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate entry points, and maintain orderly flow through screening areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies when needed.
• Complete required logs, screening records, and incident reports accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
