Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry activity, manage site access, and conduct routine patrols as part of a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and document employee, visitor, vendor, and/or driver entry and exit, verify credentials and shipping information, and help to deter unauthorized access to buildings, yards, gates, and loading areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including warehouses, trailer lots, parking areas, and loading docks, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Prepare routine logs and incident reports related to access activity, deliveries, and/or unusual conditions, and report concerns involving security-related procedures or site policies.
