As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide welcoming customer service and clear communication to residents, guests, and visitors while supporting a professional environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with community procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entrances, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control records while communicating professionally with residents and site management.
